An open forum for Primary and Secondary colleagues to review the nature of the Arts in Schools.

The aim of this network is to address the fundamental nature of The Arts and examine its unique role in fostering inspirational teaching and learning across the curriculum.

An opportunity to share good practice, delve into education theory and embrace practical skills, allowing teachers to enhance their own creativity and develop a creative climate for life long learning

Plans for this year:
  • Dance workshops both mixed and for boys
  • Music technology workshops for primary staff
  • A batik artist from the Gambia will visit network schools during Black History month and will provide workshops for children and staff
  • Arts skills workshops
  • Open door for Arts Mark Gold schools to offer open mornings or afternoons to other borough schools
  • A directory of practicing artists used in Redbridge to be made available on rnlcom.com
  • Six art workshops for primary NQTs (including Arts Around the World, Clay/Ceramics, Glazing, Sculpture and Mask Making and Textiles
  • Links with the government Creative Partnerships Programme
Support for Schools:
  • All practical workshops are open to all schools in Redbridge
